Report a digital rights issue

Use the form on this page to open a Case ID immediately, or choose a category card after you submit. Submission does not guarantee a platform or third-party outcome.

  1. Validate the form and issue a Case ID
  2. Classify the issue and record a timeline
  3. Send or queue a confirmation — mail is never faked when offline

What you can report

Use the categories below for issues such as online abuse, impersonation, identity concerns, account-related problems, intellectual-property matters, and related digital safety topics covered by our support pathways. Choose the closest match; if you are unsure, start from Get Help or Rights.

Required evidence (high level)

Where relevant, prepare descriptions of:

  • URLs or locations of the material or account involved
  • What happened, in chronological order, with approximate dates
  • Screenshots or document descriptions you can summarize without uploading secrets

Never submit passwords, one-time codes (OTP), recovery secrets, private keys, or full payment-card data. Use official account recovery channels for credentials.

Claimant information

Forms typically ask for your name and a contact email so we can associate a case reference with your submission. Government ID documents are not required by the general reporting copy on this hub; follow any pathway-specific form instructions if they appear on that page.

Submission procedure

  1. 01Choose the closest category below for your issue.
  2. 02Review the pathway’s scope — what we can guide, and what we cannot do.
  3. 03Complete the structured form with claimant details and evidence descriptions.
  4. 04Keep your case ID. Use Cases to check status with the email on file (submitted privately — not in the URL).

Report a digital rights issue

Use this form to open a Case ID immediately. Prefer a category page first? Choose from the cards below after you submit, or skip the form and browse those pathways.

This form opens a documentation case (Case ID CRL-RPT-…). It classifies the issue with deterministic rules, stores a timeline, and queues a confirmation email. If outbound mail is not configured, the case is still created and email is queued — it is not marked as sent.

A guidance window opens first. Files are reviewed securely. Never send passwords or codes.

After you submit

You receive a case ID when a pathway form accepts your submission. Store it securely. Status checks use Cases with that ID and the email on file — submitted by POST so the address is not placed in the browser URL. Updates depend on the pathway and available information; submission does not guarantee a platform or third-party outcome.

Ethical boundaries

Reports must be made in good faith. Do not request unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data. CYBER RIGHTS OF LAW does not claim government, court, or law-enforcement authority, and does not guarantee that a third-party platform will act on a report.
